A Florida-bred filly by Ocala Stud’s leading freshman sire of 2024 Win Win Win was one of two juveniles to work an eighth mile in :9.80 Saturday during the final day of under tack works previewing next week’s Ocala Breeders’ Sales Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in training.

The OBS Spring Sale will be conducted four days from Tuesday through Friday next week, April 15-18, with each session scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.

Cataloged as Hip 1206 from the Navas Equine as agent consignment, the Win Win Win filly is out of the Majesticperfection mare Just Like Lucy, a full sister to stakes-winner Pretty Perfection. A $60,000 purchase by S.O.K. Racing at last year’s Keeneland September Sale of yearlings, the filly was bred in Florida by the late Brereton C. Jones. She is a full sister to Rammayy, a winner in the United Arab Emirates and recently third in the UAE 2000 Guineas Trial won by Golden Vekoma at Meydan for owner Sheik Ahmed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Rammayy was a $250,000 purchase by Michael Costa for Jebel Ali Stable at the 2023 Keeneland September Sale.

 

Also working an eighth in :9.80 was Hip 1142, a dark bay or brown filly by freshman sire Independence Hall. Consigned by Eddie Woods as agent, the filly is out of the unraced Posse mare Hiding, a half-sister to Grade 2-winner Ancient Secret, stakes-winner Amanda’s Folly and Grade 3-placed Jais’s Solitude.

Hip 1053 was the only 2-year-old to work a quarter mile in :20.40 Saturday. By No Nay Never out of Fixed Gaze, by Speightstown, the Irish-bred colt is a half-brother to Grade 3-placed, stakes-winner Fixette. He is consigned by Omar Ramirez Bloodstock, as agent.

There were 14 2-year-olds who worked an eighth mile in :10 flat including four Florida-breds.

Hip 1042 is a filly by Stonehedge Farm South stallion Cajun Breeze consigned by Omar Ramirez Bloodstock as agent. The filly is out of the stakes-placed mare Fast City, by Half Ours, a half-sister to stakes-placed runners Play Unified, Heatseeker Sharon and Ollie Jet and stakes-producer Sobhy’s Gal. Bred in Florida by Woodford Thoroughbreds LLC, the filly is fully registered for the lucrative FTBOA Florida Sire Stakes.

 

Hip 1105 is a filly by the late Uncle Chuck out of Goldenlegacy’shope, by Warrior’s Reward. Consigned by Blas Perez Stables as agent, she is from the family of multiple Group 1-winner Cape Blanco (Ire) and multiple Grade 2-winner Mr O’Brien (Ire). She was bred in Florida by LA Racing 83 LLC.

 

Hip 1139 is a bay filly by Maximus Mischief out of Her Mine E Winkle, by Mineshaft and consigned by Hartley / De Renzo Thoroughbreds LLC as agent. Her Mine E Winkle is a half-sister to stakes-placed runner Tap’er Light and Alice B Winkle. She was bred in Florida by Carol Ann Reitman, Susan Gannon and Warren Miller.

 

Hip 1164 is a filly by Good Magic out of Indian Colors, by Indian Charlie, a half-sister to stakes-placed runners Mo of the West and Luna Bella. Consigned by Dynasty Thoroughbreds, the filly is from the family of graded-stakes winners Watch and Prime Meridian and was bred in Florida by Don L. Ming.
