A Florida-bred colt by Ocala Stud’s 2024 leading first crop and leading juvenile sire Win Win Win was among seven juveniles to work an eighth mile in :9.80 during the under tack show at the OBS Training Center Wednesday. The under tack session was the fourth of seven days of timed workouts for 2-year-olds set for this year’s OBS Spring Sale to be conducted next Tuesday through Thursday. Each under tack show begins at 8:00 a.m. EST while each session of next week’s auction will start at 10:30 a.m.

Keep Praying, Hear My Prayer and Hihellohowareyou were all bred in Florida by Janet Erwin.
Additional Prayer, who won the J J’sdream at Calder in 2008, is a half-sister to stakes-producer Deluxe Heir.

Hip 619 was the only juvenile to work a quarter mile in :20.40 Wednesday. Consigned by Ciaran Dunne’s Wavertree Stables Inc., as agent, the colt is from the first crop by Independence Hall out of Waltzing, by Candy Ride (Arg). Waltzing is a half-sister to Grade 3-winner Dancing Solo, stakes-placed Dancing and stakes-producer Prancing.
“We were probably as confident bringing him up there as you could be with a horse,” Dunne said. “You don’t ever expect one to go in :20 2/5, I think that’s the first time we’ve had one go that fast. In terms of how he trained and prepped, he couldn’t have given any better signs than he was giving.
“Physically, he’s a stunning horse. He’s a big rangy horse, very athletic. He surpassed all expectations. I would say that the only way anybody doesn’t like him is if they don’t like horses.”
The Independence Hall colt was a $285,000 purchase by Superfine at last year’s Keeneland September Sale of yearlings. He was also a $120,000 purchase by Dudley Racing at the 2024 Keeneland January Sale of horses of all ages.
